The best way to get the ball rolling is to contact me. We can then have an initial chat to discuss what outcome you are looking for, whether hypnotherapy is the right therapy for you, and how we can work together. At the initial consultation, we will talk in depth about what brings you to therapy, your history and what your best possible hope for the future is in working together.
During this session, I will give you a detailed but accessible explanation of how the brain works and how sometimes negative emotional states can affect our wellbeing and thinking patterns. We will explore how hypnotherapy can help you, how many sessions you will need etc. - this is individually tailored to your needs. No hypnosis takes place during this session. You can ask any questions you may have.
Initial Consultation
Therapy & Hypnosis Sessions
Each session will start by exploring the positive outcomes you have experienced since your last session and discovering further solutions to your current or ongoing challenges.
Where necessary I will give you reminders of how the brain works, and how that applies to your situation. Then I will work with you to build a framework of positive steps forward for the coming week. I’ll help you to imagine your preferred future, a future where you have a more positive perspective on the quality of your life. I’ll then guide you into a relaxed state of hypnosis so that we can consolidate what we have discussed.
I will give you my relaxation audio recording to listen to. This will start off your hypnosis journey and prepare you for our sessions to come, help you sleep better and unwind. You will listen to my audio recording nightly in between our sessions as part of our work together. This audible will become part of your routine.
