At the initial consultation, we will talk in depth about what brings you to therapy, your history, what your best possible hope from therapy is, and I can answer any questions you may have.
During this session, I will give you an easily digestible explanation of how the brain works and how negative mood can affect our wellbeing and thinking patterns. We will explore how hypnotherapy can help you, how many sessions you will need etc. - this is individually tailored. No hypnosis takes place during this session.
Therapy & Hypnosis Sessions
Each session will start by exploring the positive outcomes you have experienced since your last session and discovering further solutions to your current or ongoing challenges.
Where relevant I will explain your situation in terms of neuroscience. Then I will work with you to build a positive goal for the coming week. This is followed by guided relaxation (hypnosis) so that you can consolidate what we have discussed.
I will give you my relaxation audio recording to listen to. This will start off your hypnosis journey and prepare you for our sessions to come, help you sleep better and unwind. You will listen to my audio recording nightly in between our sessions as part of our work together. This audible will become part of your routine.
