Hi, I’m Ros

Clinical hypnotherapist, coach and solution focused therapist based in Leatherhead, Surrey, offering supportive, client-focused care locally and online.

I'm a warm, experienced therapist who genuinely loves this work.

I've been on my own journey. I know what it feels like to be burnt out, anxious, not sleeping, mind racing at 3am. I know what it's like to feel like you're holding everything together on the outside while quietly unravelling on the inside. That experience didn't just point me towards this work — it shaped how I do it.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection. I'm not a blank screen. I'm curious, engaged and invested in you as a person — not just the problem you've come to solve.

My approach

I work with a blend of clinical hypnotherapy, solution focused therapy, neuroscience-informed coaching and. I'm particularly drawn to approaches that understand the whole person: body, mind, nervous system and relational history.

That means sessions with me aren't one-size-fits-all. I draw on a range of tools depending on what you need — whether that's the deep relaxation and subconscious work of hypnotherapy, the practical forward-focused strategies of solution focused coaching, or something more exploratory and relational.

What stays consistent is the quality of attention I bring. You will feel heard.

Training & qualifications

I trained as a clinical hypnotherapist at CPHT — widely regarded as the benchmark for hypnotherapy training in the UK. My qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH)

  • Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) — NCFE Level 4

  • Certificate in Applied Neuroscience

  • Level 2 Understanding Autism

  • Level 2 & 3 Counselling Skills

  • BA (Hons) History of Art, University of Manchester (also studied at Leiden University, Netherlands)

I am currently in year two of a five-year postgraduate Diploma and MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute.

I am a registered member of the NCH, AfSFH and CNHC, hold an enhanced DBS certificate, and am fully insured. I comply with the code of ethics of each of my member organisations.

My CPD is ongoing and wide-ranging — I have attended extensive training in ADHD (particularly its presentation in women), trauma, attachment, neurodiversity, polyvagal theory and more.

Why I do this

I came to therapy training through coaching. I was working with clients and kept seeing that some of them needed more than strategies and goal-setting — they needed something that could reach the parts that coaching couldn't quite touch. That led me to hypnotherapy, which felt like a natural fit: future-focused, solution-oriented, and with the added power of working with both the conscious and subconscious mind.

The deeper I've gone into this work – through my ongoing Dip / MSc, through hypnotherapy supervision, through my own personal therapy – the more I've come to believe that what heals people isn't primarily technique. It's a relationship. It's a feeling of being genuinely seen, understood and not alone.

That's what I try to offer.
