Sessions and Fees

Taking the first step towards getting support can feel like the hardest part. This page explains exactly how working together looks — what to expect, how sessions are structured, and what it costs — so there are no surprises.

How It All Begins — The Free Consultation Call

Everything starts with a free 20-minute phone or video call. This is simply a chance for us to have a conversation — about what's been going on for you, what you're hoping to change, and whether hypnotherapy feels like the right fit. I'll answer any questions you have about how I work, and you'll get a sense of whether we'd work well together. If it feels right, we'll arrange your first session from there. Book your free call

Your First Session —
The Initial Consultation

£65 — approximately 60 minutes

The first full session is different from the sessions that follow. There's no hypnosis in this one — it's a proper conversation.

We'll talk about what's brought you here, what's been happening, and — importantly — what you'd like to be different. I'll ask about your best hopes for our work together, not just what's wrong. We'll look at how the brain works, why the patterns you're experiencing have developed, and what the process of change actually looks like. Most clients find this session genuinely useful in itself — understanding what's happening neurologically takes a lot of the confusion and self-blame out of the picture.

You'll leave with a personalised self-hypnosis audio to listen to at home before your next session, which begins the process of calming the nervous system and preparing the brain for the work ahead.

Ongoing Sessions

£80 per session — approximately 60 minutes

From the second session onwards, we get into the work itself. Each session has two parts.

We'll begin with a conversation — talking about what's been better since we last met, however small, and focusing on what's moving in the right direction. This isn't forced positivity; it's a deliberate and evidence-based way of helping the brain access its more resourceful states. We'll also work on whatever is most relevant for you that week.

Then comes the hypnosis — usually around 20 minutes of guided relaxation, during which I'll work with imagery, suggestions, and future templates tailored to what we've discussed. You remain aware and in control throughout. For most people it feels deeply restful, and that restfulness has genuine therapeutic value of its own.

Block Booking

£450 for 6 sessions (saving £30)

If you'd like to commit to a course of sessions, a block of six can be purchased at a reduced rate. Blocks are paid in advance and sessions are used within six months. Please note that block bookings are non-refundable, though sessions can be rescheduled with reasonable notice.

Stop Smoking

Stop Smoking

£200 — two-session programme

Stopping smoking is treated differently because it works differently. Rather than a gradual course of sessions, the stop smoking programme is an intensive two-session process designed to address both the habit and the psychological dependency at the same time.

The first session covers the neuroscience of habit and addiction and prepares the mind for change. The second session — usually within a week — uses hypnosis to consolidate that change and set a new template. Most clients stop completely after this programme.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

This is one of the questions I'm most often asked, and the honest answer is that it varies.

For a specific, clearly defined issue — a particular phobia, performance anxiety before a specific event, stopping smoking — meaningful change is often possible within three to six sessions.

For anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and more complex presentations, most clients work with me for between six and twelve sessions. ADHD and neurodiversity work often takes a similar timeframe depending on what we're addressing.

At your initial consultation I'll give you my honest assessment of what's realistic for your particular situation. I'd rather set expectations clearly at the outset than have you wondering where you are.
