HOW I CAN HELP

Physicist Albert Einstein used hypnotherapy to explore his creativity. The father of science reportedly came up with the theory of relativity during a self-hypnosis session. He said: 

 

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them,” 

Each session is half taking therapy (psychotherapy) and half relaxation. 

By visualising where you’d like to be, instead of focusing on the problems that have brought you to where you are, solution focused brief therapy helps you inch forward in manageable steps. We use hypnosis to engage your subconscious, using the brain’s natural adaptability to forge new, helpful pathways to help enforce those desired changes.

 

I will work with you, asking questions to help you recognise where you are now, visualise where you’d like to be, and develop your own strengths, tools and awareness to make that solution a sustainable reality.

 

These ideas and strategies are then reinforced in clinical hypnosis, also known as non-sleep deep rest (NSDR): a guided relaxation to engage the subconscious mind in helping make the changes you’d like.

In working towards your increased general wellbeing and self-esteem, you will make the changes you need to get back on track. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy helps not only with your presenting problem, but clients report it helps them feel more in control of their lives overall.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve never had hypnotherapy before, however as soon as I met Ros, even though it was via Zoom, I felt completely at ease and relaxed. I really look forward to my sessions with her, knowing that I would be making positive steps forward. I started working with Ros to tackle my anxiety issues and I have been highly impressed! She introduced me to the concept of hypnotherapy in a way that I could immediately identify with, using visuals and imagery to explain what is going on in the mind, and guiding me through the whole process in a reassuring and empathetic way. Each session was very solution focussed and left me feeling empowered with tips to tools to use when I felt my anxiety arise. The audio recording that she created for me continues to consolidate the whole process. I have noticed big shifts in my emotional responses and how I am reacting to situations, and I am definitely much calmer and also sleeping much better.
