Solution led hypnotherapy is a remarkable kind of therapy as it doesn’t hold you in the past, instead it is present and future focussed

Sometimes life doesn’t always go to plan, anxiety, anger and depression can manifest in other behaviours, emotions and illnesses such as insomnia, anger, bad habits, poor self-esteem, and a host of other things.

How does it work?

A core belief of the solution-focused approach is that you have the necessary skills and resources to find solutions to your problems. I will work alongside you, asking questions to help you recognise where you are now, visualise where you’d like to be, and develop your own strengths to make that solution a reality. These ideas and strategies are then reinforced in hypnosis: an enjoyable, natural, but powerful way to engage your subconscious mind in helping make the changes you’d like.

I believe that, in working towards increased general wellbeing and self-esteem, you will make the changes you need to get back on track. So, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help not only with your presenting problem, but can also help you feel more in control of your life overall.

By visualising where you’d like to be in life, instead of focusing on the problems that have brought you to where you are, we’ll start your journey towards positive transformation. In this mindset we then use hypnosis to engage your subconscious, using the brain’s natural adaptability to forge new, more helpful pathways towards those desired changes.

Volunteers required!

I am currently training in Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy and am looking for people to work with and help (for free whilst I am a student). This is a safe, modern and well researched approach to helping people break the negative cycle of anxiety and depression.

 

Each month I will be adding to the areas I can work with and at the moment I am particularly looking for volunteers who would benefit from help with phobias and fears. 

As my training continues I will be able to help with OCD, weight management, chronic pain and smoking/vaping so if these areas are of interest to you still get in touch and I will let you know when I am ready to be able to help you.

 

As a registered student member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy I am fully insured and I have an Enhanced DBS. 

HOW I WORK

Free discovery call

Wonderful things happen when you make a start - the discovery call!

The best way to get the ball rolling is to contact me. We can then have an initial chat to discuss what outcome you are looking for, whether hypnotherapy is the right therapy for you, and how we can work together. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and to get acquainted with me. If you are happy to go ahead, I will book you into an initial consultation.

Initial consultation

Once we have had a chat on the phone, an initial consultation will follow.

Here we will talk in depth about what brings you to therapy, your history and what your best possible hope for the future is in working together.

During this session, I will give you a detailed, but accessible explanation of how the brain works and how sometimes negative emotional states can affect our wellbeing and thinking patterns. We will explore how hypnotherapy can help you, how many sessions you will need etc. - this is individually tailored to your needs.  No hypnosis takes place during this session; I will give you my relaxation audio recording to listen to. This will start off your hypnosis journey and prepare you for our sessions to come, help you sleep better and unwind. This audible will become part of your routine as using it is part of your treatment.

What happens in hypnotherapy sessions?

Each session will start by exploring the positive outcomes you have experienced since your last session and discovering further solutions to your current or ongoing challenges. 

Where necessary I will give you reminders of how the brain works, and how that applies to your situation. Then I will work with you to build a framework of positive steps forward for the coming week. 

You will continue to listen to my audio recording in between our sessions. 

ABOUT ME

 I am a student clinical hypnotherapist practising under supervision, and working to help with relaxation hypnotherapy only.

COST

As I am a student clinical hypnotherapist, treatment is free of charge. I am currently working with people who need help with phobias and fears, OCD, weight management, chronic pain and smoking so if these areas are of interest to you, get in touch and I will let you know when I am ready to be able to help you.
